Marvin G. Wise Sr.

Life story Marvin G. Wise, Sr., age 62, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Hanover, Indiana. Born October 27, 1954 in New Castle, Indiana, he was the son of William Marvin and Mary Louise (Cooper) Towery. Mr. Wise served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a foreman for Miller Pipeline and owned and operated Banner Transportation at the Jefferson Proving Ground. He was a member of the former Eagles Lodge and enjoyed playing slots on the computer and being a jokester. On December 3, 2001, he was united in marriage to Rita F. McCarty. He will be sadly missed by his wife of Hanover; three daughters: Carrie Ray and her husband, George, of Greensburg, Indiana, Connie New and her husband, Mike, of Hanover, and Michelle Newby and her husband, Will, of Bedford, Kentucky; three sons: Marvin G. Wise, Jr. of Columbus, Indiana, Jeremy Romans and his wife, Leah, of Madison, Indiana, and Jason Romans of Madison; two sisters: Mary Wise and her companion, Tim Hensley of Hanover and Cindy Cull and her husband, Steve, of Madison; seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Bob Wise and James Roscoe Towery; and one sister, Wyona Wise. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, Indiana with interment to follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 10, 2017, and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday.
