Mary Kathleen Ice

Life story Mary Kathleen Ice, age 84, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana. Born October 4, 1933 in Bedford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ira G. and Georgie W. (Welch) Young. Mary graduated in 1952 from North Madison High School. She retired from Rental Mart but had previously worked at the Jefferson County Courthouse and owned and operated the Gateway Grocery. She attended Madison Presbyterian Church where she volunteered at the Carriage House. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the American Legion, Jefferson Post #9, Moose Lodge, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and was active with the Madison Regatta during the 1970's. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Linda Bipes and her husband, Tim of Madison, Marcia Rogers of Clarksville, Indiana, and Billie Jean Lee-Davis and her husband, Donnie, of Madison; her son: Richard Howard Ice and his wife, Bonnie of Madison; her brother: Ronald Young of Madison; her sisters: Leah Joy Skinner of Mulberry, Indiana and Elizabeth Ann Poole of Indianapolis, Indiana; her grandchildren: Danny Ice-Cable and his wife, Jenny, Angi Imel and her husband, Cody, Deron Boggs and his wife, Samantha, Craig Robert Rogers, Travis Ryan Rogers and his wife, Brandi, and Kyle Bipes and his wife, Jessica; and a plethora of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Herschel and Donald Young; her significant other: Glen Gary "Tuck" Tucker; and three grandchildren: David Keith Lee, Ryan Joseph Lee, and Jack William Lee. Pastor George Severn will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel, 423 West Main Street, Downtown Madison, with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 1, 2018, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
