Maxine B. (Bulliet) Crooks

Life story Maxine B Crooks, age 94, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Hickory Creek of Madison. Born July 12, 1924 in New Albany, Indiana, she was the daughter of Straud C. and Louise (Dixon) Bulliet. Mrs. Crooks was united in marriage to James B. Crooks on March 22, 1947. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Madison and retired as the bookkeeper for the former Eastgate Dodge in Madison. She will be sadly missed by two sons: James R. "Rick" Crooks and his wife Carlene of LaGrange, Kentucky, and Mark A. Crooks of Madison; three grandchildren: Chris Crooks, Annette Hawk and Candace Brodzinski; and six great grandchildren: Jona, Josia, Esther, Juda, Aegis and Bryson. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 16, 2006, and one sister, Nancy Caroland in June 2000. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM Friday July 5, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, on Madison's Hilltop. Interment will be in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
