Mildred L. Fields

Life story Mildred L. Fields, age 91, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at River Terrace Health Campus in Madison. Born May 26, 1926 in Canaan, Indiana, she was the daughter of Herschel and Nellie (Eades) Reed. Mrs. Fields was a psychiatric attendant at Madison State Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Mt. Byrd Christian Church and enjoyed antiquing, crocheting, and visiting with family and friends. On June 10, 1979, she was united in marriage to Harry E. Fields at Hopewell Methodist Church in Carroll County, Kentucky. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Connie Souza and her husband, Hank of Bedford, KY; her son, Bill Bentz and his wife, Brenda of Madison; her five grandchildren: Barbie Howdeshell, Valerie White, Tracie Bentz, Tina Bell and Jason Barnes; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her nephew, Robert "Bud" Reed of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Fields on September 27, 2017; and her brother, Wilbur Reed. The Reverend Michael White will conduct funeral services at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, with interment to follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2017 and from 9:00 AM until time of service on Thursday.
