Myrtle Hunt Obituary

Mrs. Myrtle Mary (Richardson) Hunt, age 79, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Russell M. and Annis Lavene (Dean) Richardson, was born January 30, 1943, in Lexington, Indiana. She was a 1962 graduate of Lexington High School and worked for many years in food services at the Madison State Hospital. On November 24, 1979, she was united in marriage to Graham T. "G.T." Hunt at the Clifty Inn at the Clifty Falls State Park in Madison. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Hunt passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.

Her life will be cherished by her husband of 42 years, Graham of Madison; her step-children: Susan Michelle Hunt of Eminence, Kentucky, Mary Angela Hunt of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Nancy Carol Barr and her husband, Howard of Hanover, Indiana, and Christopher J. Hunt of Versailles, Indiana; her grandchildren: Jordan Moots, Cody Moots, Ron Thomas Hunt, Jared Allen Hewitt, Todd Michael Polland, Adam Joe Barr, Jeremy Lee Barr, and Jessica Ann Barr; one step grandson: Michael Furst; her sister-in-law, Virginia Richardson of Deputy, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis S. Moots; her daughter, Nancy L. Furst; her brother, Russell J. Richardson; and her sisters: Cindy Richardson, Wilma Helton, and Mildred Shelton.

Reverend Dale Boyd will conduct funeral services at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Tuesday.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
