Norma J. Bear

Life story Norma J. Bear, age 77, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Our Hospice Inpatient Unit in Columbus, Indiana. She was born March 27, 1941 in Jefferson County, Indiana, the daughter of Homer and Evelyn Harmon Clarkson. She was married to Calvin Bear. Mrs. Bear was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved animals, playing bingo and euchre and collected dolls. She will be sadly missed by one brother, Delmar Clarkson and his wife, Eula of Madison; her sister-in-law Ruby Clarkson of Middletown, Ohio; and nieces and nephews Donald Clarkson and his wife, Mikey, and Mary E. Brinegar and her husband, Bob, all of Franklin, Ohio, Sharon Smith and her husband, Leon of Middletown, Kenny Smith and his wife, Angie of Waco, Texas, Cynthia Bertam of North Vernon, Twila Dionne and her husband, Mike, and Rodney Graves and his wife, Marcie, all of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Elsie Bodeman; and one brother, George Clarkson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive on Madison's hilltop. Interment will follow in Dupont Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hanover Health and Rehab Center Activity Department or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
