Norma P. Martin

Life story Norma Pauline (Beck) Martin, 93, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Hickory Creek at Madison. Born October 5, 1925 in Marshall, Illinois, she was the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Francis) Beck. Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Marshall High School. On January 21, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert D. "Bob" Martin in Marshall. She formerly worked for WORX radio, Hanover College, and as a secretary at the former Jefferson Proving Ground. She enjoyed needlework and puzzles. She will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law: Loretta and Grover R. Anderson of Madison; two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Cheryl Martin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Max and Donna Martin of New Albany, Indiana; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on July 23, 2011; three brothers: Cecil Beck, Bryan Beck, and Alan Beck; and two sisters: Wilma McGrath and Irene Thompson. The Reverend Bern Kiser will conduct committal services at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Indiana Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1415 North Gate Road, Madison, with inurnment to follow. Friends and family may call at the Indiana Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Lick Branch Baptist Church Building Fund.
