Life story Mrs. Pamela K. Bentz, age 65, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late B.F. and Cathleen (McClure) Hopkins, was born on February 21, 1955, in Madison. She attended Madison High School. She was united in marriage to Steve Bentz on June 23, 1970, in Carrollton, Kentucky. Throughout the years, she worked at the former Star Food Store, Tower Manufacturing, and had most recently retired from Royer Corporation last November. She was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the American Legion Riders. She enjoyed camping with her camping friends and riding motorcycles. Mrs. Bentz passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Her life will be cherished by her husband, Steve of 49 years of Madison; her children: Michele (Denny) Consley, of Madison, Chris (Cindy) Bentz, of Paris Crossing, Jason (Cheyenne) Bentz, of Dupont; her brother: Bobby Hopkins, of Madison; her grandchildren: Baileigh Collins, Taylor Bentz, Tanner Wenzler, and Kolton Bentz; and her great-grandchildren, Easton and Elsie Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Wilson, Joyce Miller, and Lana Carol Dunn; and her grandchildren: Dylan Bentz and Hannah Wenzler. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Springdale Cemetery, with interment to follow. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, Madison's Hilltop, after 1:00 PM until the time to process to the cemetery. While adhering to the state restrictions of no more than ten visitors inside the facility, friends will also have the ability to drive through the veranda to visit with family.
