Life story Richard Darrell Little of Madison, Indiana passed away on June 23, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 28, 1941 in Jefferson County, Indiana to Harwood and Flora Risk Little. He was raised in Jefferson County and was a 1958 graduate of Central High School. He married Anna Faye Lanham and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage together. He retired from the Pipefitters and Steamfitters Union, Local 440, Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Union employee, he was supervisor on jobs at the Martinsville Power Plant, Chrysler Plant at Kokomo, Indiana and Tipton School and also worked six years in the Maintenance Department at the Indianapolis Star Newspaper. He worked at the Marble Hill Nuclear Power Plant until its closure. He owned and operated Little's Gun Shop in Madison in the 1970s and prior to that worked in the Maintenance Department at Dow Corning. He was skilled mechanically and with carpentry and could build and repair most anything. He was a member of the Manville Christian Church. He had read his Bible through several times. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, watching football and basketball games and watching the deer, turkeys and birds from the patio door. Until poor health, he loved to be outdoors fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Anna, one son, Mark Little and his wife, Taryn of Willis, Texas; one daughter, Cindy Little and her husband, David Bowen of Madison, Indiana; four grandchildren, Cody, Mark, Andrew and Lura Little; four great grandchildren, Lydia, Louie, Breanna and Luca Little, and one brother, Robert Little and his wife, Jeanine of Madison, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harwood and Flora Little. The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 27, at Lytle Funeral Homes.& Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, on Michigan Road, Madison's Hilltop. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Tuesday, June 26 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service Wednesday. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery adjacent to the Cross Plains Christian Church, Cross Plains, Indiana. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Salem Cemetery Association or the Manville Christian Church.
