Richard Alan "Ricky" Webster, age 68, of Dillsboro, Indiana, and the son of the late Chester A. and Lillian F. (Hants) Webster, was born on May 29, 1957, in Scottsburg, Indiana. Ricky was known for his easy-going nature, his warm heart, and his ability to bring happiness wherever he went. He was kind to everyone he met and he personally found great joy in the little things. A cold Dr. Pepper, a chocolate candy bar, or a milkshake could easily brighten his entire day. He preferred to be at home in his rocking chair, but also enjoyed going for a relaxing car ride. He loved singing the Three's Company theme song or reciting his favorite nursery rhyme with enthusiasm and pride. Ricky will be remembered as someone who was always happy, fun-loving, and full of heart-a gentle soul who made the world a better place simply by being in it. Mr. Webster passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at his residence in Dillsboro.
His life will be cherished by his housemates, his caregiver, Amy Davis and the many staff members of the Res-Care home who loved him dearly; his guardian, Shana Lane of Lifetime Resources; and his brother, Thomas D. Webster. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lillian Webster; his sister: Joyce Ann Turner; and his brothers: Earl Frank Webster, Chester L. Webster, and James A. "Jimmy" Webster.
Friends & family may gather on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison. Interment will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana.
In honoring Ricky, we remember that a life does not need to be extraordinary to be meaningful-it only needs to be filled with love, kindness, and joy. He gave all of that, and more.
