Robert A. Stucker

Life story Robert A. Bob Stucker, age 71, of Largo, Florida, formerly of Madison, Indiana, died suddenly on Monday, March 23, 2020 at his home in Largo. He was born on August 22, 1948 in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana, the son of the late William Bill Stucker and Lucille Berry Stucker. Robert was a 1966 graduate of Madison High School. After high school Robert joined the United States Navy and served his Country honorably. After his service in the Navy, he went to work for Barber Grocery Company in Madison, and after several years, he decided to join the family grocery business in Largo. He spent many years there until the family decided to sell the business in the late 2000s. After the family business sold, he went to work for Home Shopping Network in St. Petersburg, Florida, as a customer service representative until his death. Some of his hobbies were bowling, playing cards and working in his yard. Over the years he and his late wife, Kathy had raised registered Yorkie dogs together. Robert first became a father when he was married to Sharlene Hammond, and he is survived by their two sons, Robert A. Rob Stucker of Phoenix, Arizona, and Steven Steve Stucker and his wife, Crystal of Irving, Texas, and also Sharlenes children from her previous marriage: a step-son; Jimmy Hammond of Toledo, Ohio, and a step-daughter; Velma Coffman and her husband, Mike of Toledo, Ohio. Later in life he went on to marry Kathy Gallagher, and was joined by her three children, Cara Gallagher of Cleveland, Ohio, Jeff Bates and his wife, Dee of Painesville, Ohio, and the late Michael Lee Bates and his wife, Amanda of Youngstown, Ohio. Robert and Kathy shared 27 years of marriage until her death on July 13, 2019. Robert leaves behind his children and step-children, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother: Randy and his wife, Patsy Stucker of Largo, a sister in-law; Teresa Stucker of Madison, a brother in-law: Brian White of Hanover, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: William Bill Stucker on August 12, 2013, his mother: Lucille Berry Stucker on March 20, 2008, a step-daughter: Teresa Hammond, his step-son: Michael Lee Mike Bates on October 14, 2013, a brother: Jerry Wayne Stucker on September 14, 2007, and a sister: Jolene A. White on March 9, 2018. Cremation services were arranged by the family in Florida with no public services scheduled at this time.
