Obituary

On August 1, 2022, Rosanna was called home. She has many angels waiting to welcome her.

Rosanna Ruth Taylor was born on July 26, 1940 in Madison, Indiana to the late William C. Taylor and Rose I. Mikesell. Rosanna has two brothers that have also journeyed ahead of her, Robert Taylor and Donald Taylor, both formerly of Madison, Indiana.

Rosanna had adventures and many stories of her youth before her marriage to David Lee Vance on September 5, 1969. David had three children from a previous marriage that Rosanna called her own: Ricky Lee Vance who has also journeyed ahead, David Scott Vance and Kimberly Jo Tripp. Rosanna and David's marriage produced two children: Kathy Leeann Vance and Stephan T. Vance.

Rosanna pursued a nursing career for 30+ years starting at Madison State Hospital as a CNA. She worked at Community Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana when she became an LPN, and during the end of her career she was doing pediatric home health where she made a strong difference in many patients lives. Rosanna was a passionate poet and skilled sketch artist and enjoyed those hobbies until her eyesight grew weak. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and enjoyed talking and drinking coffee, visiting the ocean, and spending time with her family. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her friends, she had many great adventures with her lifelong best friend Pat who also journeyed ahead of her, and her dear friend Joyce who loved and treated her like a sister.

Rosanna and her husband decided to make a change in 1982 and moved to Florida which was always her husband's dream. They built a life and a home there and celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at a beautiful celebration near their home in Rockledge, Florida. David Vance took his wings on October 10, 1997 and she has profoundly missed him since.

Her life will be cherished by her children: Stephen Vance and his wife, Lisa of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and Kathy Vance, of Melbourne, Florida; her step-children: Kimberly Tripp, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and David Scott Vance, of Florida; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; her sister-in-law: Dixie Dunn; her nieces and nephews: Candi Maddox and her husband, John of Dupont, Indiana, Mark Taylor of Madison, Leanna Elston of Madison, Terry Taylor and his wife, Charlie of Dupont, Chris Taylor and his wife, Becky; Danny Dunn, Gayle Lovell and her husband, Charlie of Madison, and Lorie Dunn of Madison; her great nieces and nephews: Amber, Brandy, Kirsten, Alicia, Kyle, Casey, Abbie and her husband Thomas, Myrle and his wife, Janice, Joseph and his wife, Katie; her great great nieces and nephews: Piper, Logan, Jacob, Marshall, Dustin, Victoria, Lillie, Gabriel, Maverick, Catherine, Gavin, Blakely, Makayla, Wyatt, Ava, and Nova.
