S.G. Westrick, age 87, of Milton, Kentucky, and the son of the late Tony and Virgie (Henry) Westrick, was born on October 7, 1934, in Trimble County, Kentucky. On July 11, 1953, he was united in marriage to the former Georgia Carol Alexander in Madison, Indiana. He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years and later retired from Indiana Trucking.
In his earlier years, he enjoyed taking weekend trips with his wife on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, going to horse shows, and entertaining friends on his patio. He was a long-time member of the Moose Lodge in Carrollton, Kentucky, where he served as Governor for a period of time. Recently, he enjoyed spending time outside and visiting the Madison Moose Lodge #524. Mr. Westrick passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
His life will be cherished by his wife, Georgia of 68 years of Milton; his children: Esstil Lee Westrick and his wife, Carol, of Milton, Sharon McAtee and her husband, Steve, of Milton, Clifton Webb "C. W." Westrick and his companion, Cindy, of Milton, and Dorothy Regina Westrick, of Carrollton; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant twin daughters, Martha and Mary; and his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday October 16, 2021 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, October 15, 2021, and from 2:00 PM until the time of the service on Saturday.
