Sandra Judkins Obituary

Sandra Kay "Sandy" Judkins, age 73, of Deputy, Indiana, and the daughter of the late J.D. and Lois Erlene (Aldridge) Madden, was born on March 12, 1951, in Scottsburg, Indiana. She graduated from Scottsburg High School and attended nursing school. On August 29, 1983, she was united in marriage to Norman Judkins and they enjoyed over 41 years together. Throughout her life, Sandy worked as a picker at the Lane Bryant Warehouse, a data entry clerk at Christy's Auction of Indiana, and Lowe's in Beach Grove, Indiana. Most recently she worked as a coordinator for a private contractor, Brian Wright whom she well-respected. At her core, she was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake, and work in the vegetable garden. She enjoyed playing guitar and had a wonderful voice. Sandy was a great wife and mother, who loved her family more than anything else. Mrs. Judkins passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at her residence in Deputy.

Her life will be cherished by her husband, Norman of Deputy; her children: Charles Aaron Lawrence and his wife, Jackie, and Tammy Renee Basso, and her husband, Mike Tensley, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; her sisters: Vicki Lynn Singer of Madison, Indiana, Deborah Davis of Madison, and Barbara Jean Cottingham and her husband, Carl of Moulton, Alabama; her brothers: Mike Madden and his wife, Sherri of Madison, and Gary Ray Smith of Summersville, Alabama; her grandchildren: Charles Casey Lawrence of Cocoa, Florida, and Christopher Michael Major of Indianapolis; her great grandchildren: Chrislynn, Zoey, Kaylan, and Aurora; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Watina Michelle "Shelly" Lawrence.

Cremation was chosen and no services will be held at this time.
