Life story Shelby Jean Miles, age 78, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. Born Sunday, December 24, 1939 in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Millard and Charma (Ferguson) Adams. Mrs. Miles graduated from Lexington, Indiana, High School and the Indianapolis Business School. She was a homemaker but had served as manager of the Walmart store for 14 years in Plainfield, Indiana. She and her husband returned to Madison in 1995. On January 3, 1963, she was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Miles in Madison. Mrs. Miles was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Madison. She was a "professional" cook for her family and loved flower gardening. She will be sadly missed by five sons and daughters-in-law: Anthony and Christine Miles of Greenfield, Indiana, Terry and Debbie Miles and Kerry and Donna Miles, all of Mooresville, Indiana, David and Missy Miles of Deputy, Indiana, and Michael and Karen Miles of Dupont, Indiana; one brother, Doug Adams of Greenwood, Indiana; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 24, 2011; two brothers: James and Bennett; one sister, Henriette; and one grandson, Bartholomew. Private family services will be held at a later date. The Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, on Madison's hilltop, is in charge of the arrangements.
