Sherri Yvonne (Hooker) Copeland

Sherri Yvonne Copeland, age 61, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Alvin and Ester (Copple) Hooker, was born on August 26, 1961, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She graduated from Jeffersonville High School. From 1995 until 2001 she was a dispatcher and a reserve officer for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and the Switzerland County Sheriff's Department until her retirement in 2004. She was a fan of Tony Stewart's racing, University of Kentucky sports, University of Louisville sports, and Buffalo Bills football. Mrs. Copeland passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.

Her life will be cherished by her children: Jeremy Copeland of Madison and Corey Copeland, of Madison; her sister: Kay Jenkins, of Jeffersonville; her brothers: Andy Hooker, of Jeffersonville, Scott Hooker, of New Albany, and Alvin Hooker, Jr., of Evansville; her grandchildren: Caiden Copeland, Malachi Copeland, Ryan Copeland, and Lincoln Copeland.

Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 8, 2022. Private burial services will be held at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
