Stella Mae Gray

Life story Stella Mae Gray, age 85, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at The Episcopal Church Home in Louisville, Kentucky. Born October 16, 1931 in Cody, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Henry M. and Martha Witt Back. On July 25, 1953, she was united in marriage to Richard Russell Gray in Salem, Indiana. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Hanover Baptist Church since 1965 and Jefferson County Homemaker's Club. She enjoyed sewing. She will be sadly missed by her twin daughters: Donna Glaspie and Debbie Gray, both of Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard in 2004: sister, Lola Back; brothers: Emerson, Raymond, Melvin, Vadis, Alfred, Kirby, Lawrence, Ermin, and Paul Back; and son-in-law, David Glaspie in 2009. The Reverend J.D. Traylor will conduct funeral services at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Hanover Baptist Church, 151 West Main Street, Hanover. Interment will be private in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017, and from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the church. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hanover Baptist Church Building Fund.
