WJ Turner

Life story Mr. WJ Turner, age 79, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late Tole and Georgia (Higgins) Turner, was born May 18, 1940, in Garrard, Kentucky. He was united in matrimony to Dessie Turner on May 23, 1958 in Cumberland, Indiana. He retired from Credance Contractors as a superintendent. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and collecting. He cherished his time with his family above all else. However, he also enjoyed attending church, auctions, his Tina dogs and watching westerns. Mr. Turner passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the River Terrace Health Campus in Madison. His life will be cherished by his wife Dessie of 61 years of Madison; his children: Darlene Daugherty, of Rushville, Indiana, Phyllis Thompson and her husband, Mike, of Jacksonville, Alabama, Pam Kieninger, of Columbus, Indiana; his sisters: Phyllis Levine, of Rushville; his grandchildren: Michelle Kellems, Rachael Stubbs, TJ Thompson, and Alexis Keininger; and his great-grandchildren, Hunter Daugherty, Hayden Kellems, Trent Blevins, Waylon and Marshall Stubbs, Jody Stubbs, Olivia and Conner Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Heather and Jason Daugherty. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday January 4, 2020 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2924 Clifty Drive on Madison's hilltop. The family requests, in leu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes or below.
