Walter Massie

Life story Walter Robert "Bobby" Massie Jr., age 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana, and the son of the late Walter Sr. and Virginia (Denning) Massie, was born on March 21, 1947, in Madison, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Lou Lee Massie. When he was younger, he loved to go fishing. Later on in life, he loved to listen to gospel music on the radio and enjoyed being outdoors. Mr. Massie passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at The Waters of Scottsburg. His life will be cherished by his daughter, Agnus Smith, of Morgantown, Kentucky; his sisters: Phyllis Sommers and her husband, David, of Hanover, Diane Smith and her husband, Donald, of Carrollton, Kentucky, Debbie Massie, of Madison, Nellie Mason and her husband, Monty, of Madison; his brothers: Kenneth Massie, of North Vernon, Indiana, Danny Massie, of Madison, Joe Massie, of North Vernon, and Michael Massie, of Scottsburg; several grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; his sisters, Mary Bentz, Betty Thomas and Helen Massie; and his brothers, Johnny and Raymond Massie. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2020 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison's Hilltop.
