Wilma Mae "Willie" Wardlow, age 82, of Hanover, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Corbin and Alia (Sergent) Craft, was born on May 30, 1943, in Whitesburg, Kentucky. On September 18, 1976, she was united in marriage to Leonard Wardlow and they enjoyed almost thirty-five wonderful years together until his passing. In her younger years, she worked on the farm alongside her husband and enjoyed cooking many meals for those helping on the farm. Willie worked in the culinary department at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison for 42 years until her retirement. She was a member of Corn Creek Baptist Church where she was baptized and became a follower of Jesus Christ. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross-stitching, completing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, going dancing with her husband, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Wardlow passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at the Hickory Creek at Madison, Indiana, with her loving son by her side.
Her life will be cherished by her son: Ryan Wardlow and his wife, Markietta of Hanover; her grandchildren: Autumn, Felicia, Allie, and Whitney; her sister: Louanna Maggard of Bargersville, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wardlow who passed away on August 18, 2011; her sisters: Ethel J. Pratt and Audry Hamilton; and her brothers: John Hall, Bobby Craft, and Billy Fields.
